Please help !

Does that method also works for Xperia SP C5306 ?????

Phone COMPLETELY dead after a software update.   Changed battery, no signal at all.....  And do I have to completely remove battery?  just disconnect won't do ???  Also if anyone would have tested the testpoint on a 5306, fell free to post it !

No, C5306 is not supported. Testpoint is the same, you can try if you want. Why don't you just use charged battery and repeat software update procedure using PC Companion?

You can try to press hard reset button (check userguide for more details). If that will not help, then:

1. Send to Sony service centre for warranty repair.

2. Buy working phone with broken lcd and swap main board.

3. Sell your phone for replacement parts and buy new phone.

But 5303 and 5306 are almost alike but I can't "unbrick" the 5306 ???   Doesn't appear in pc companion, neither in device manager; it is dead.  The battery has been changed last week; brand new but the phone doesn't turn on at all, and the guy told me the battery is tested ok...

Did you tried to hold hardware reset button for at least 130 seconds?

But 5303 and 5306 are almost alike but I can't "unbrick" the 5306 ???

Each variant C5302 / C5303 / C5306 has it's own emergency loader. S1Tool has implemented only s1 emergency loader for Xperia SP C5303, other loaders are not available for the author of that program so do not count for support in nearest time.

Reset button held 3 minutes; nothing.

It's very very frustrating receiving a message from SONY to "update cell software" with pc companion and phone crashed during software update.  wow.  Phone dead.  Found a shop who installed a new battery , phone dead again and then discover that there's nothing to do.

How phone can crash during software update? You can't kill S1 smartphone by flash using Sony software update tool. If something goes wrong - just repeat flash procedure. Or send phone for warranty repair.

Gordon Gate's package contains many drivers; Generic flash device, SEMC AB900, DFU, ETS, Flash, HCB-100, HCB 100-E, HCB 105, HCB 108, HCB 120, MBS-200 and X1 Boot.   Tried a few but phone not recognized by S1.    There's one for the SP Xperia ???

Boot flash worked when I choosed "ZEUS" (not in Gordon pack) as driver but error message at the end and phone not detected when trying to flash firmware...   ???

Did you unrared boot file from first post? If not, you must unpack it first using winrar, then flash it as .sin_file_set file :)

Try on different pc. Maybe not enough temp space on yours... I don't know why S1tool can't unpack that sin_file_set.

GOT IT !!!!!

I tried running "S1 Tool" as administrator (right click...  execute as admin....)  and it worked !!!!!   If it can be useful for others, here's the story...

Sony Xperia SP 5306 was doing weird things (calling the same person on and on, by itself!)  and other crazy behaviors....

Also, battery began to be very weak.... (hard to charge, lose its power very quickly...)

Tried software update using PC companion; (maybe because of battery but it WAS charged almost 100%....) phone crashed during update.   Hard bricked; nothing, no vibration....

Got a new battery, installed it (a pity...) and tried your method (test point) it WORKED with my 5306 using ZEUS deivers (changed drivers by right click on device in device manager)

To top it all, I was unable to flash firmware and here's the clue; Xperia SP needs version 0.9.18.6 of Androxyde Flashtool, otherwise it won't flash system.sin.

Thanks a lot for this method well explained !!!!!!   My phone lives again !

Strange, now there's no charging icon while charging....   And battery meter is always at 45%.....
