Without knowing what happened it's hard to say what can help. Try most current firmware version then. Also try to flash your phone without updating boot (edit appsw file using winrar / winzip, edit update.xml file and delete BOOT line).

Hi, I'm really new to this forum. Please pardon any "wrong steps". thanks for all your information. However, I got completely lost after step 5 of your tutorial. My phone shows up in the device manager of my pc. So after step 5, was I supposed to put the battery back in my phone and then hook up the usb or not? Please break it down just a little more for me.

If your phone is already in dload mode, just press testpoint ready and attach usb cable. If your phone is not detected, you must disconnect it, connect testpoint to gnd and attach usb cable.

...so sorry I took so long to get back. I honestly didn't think I was gonna get a reply coz of the age of this forum. Many thanks for response.

Well my phone is detectected by my computer as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM11). So I go to step 2 thru 5 of your tutorial. Yet after I press ready and then connect usb (battery still in phone), S1 tools says "waiting on phone". Am I doing this wrong?

You must have gordon's gate flash driver installed. If you have it and still have the same problem, uninstall "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM11)" device and install it using gordon's gate flash driver manually.

Follow tutorial. I don't know what you did, i don't know what are you trying to achieve. If you've fixed boot and flashed all firmware parts in order: 1. APPSW, 2. FSP, 3. ELABEL and your phone still can't turn on, connect charger and wait.

Hi, sorry I've been a way for a bit. Thanks for all your help. So I finally got fed up and dissamebled my zr c5502. I did as your tutorial said using TestPoint. The phone is now recognized as "ZEUS" device. After this, nothing happens. It does not "load emergency s1 loader, re-enumerate usb, load s1 loader, update boot in your phone and flash selected firmware"

 

I would upload a screenshot of my pc at tihis point, however, I just don't seem to be able to figure how to insert images in a post on this forum.

 

Please don't giveup on me, help me get my phone back. I only used it a month since i bought it and it's been in a coma since 2015! It dropped from barely a 2ft height. I can't imagine that could have caused any hardware damage.

You can just copy S1tool output and past it here as a text in code tags. Also S1tool save all logs in it's root folder in text file. Make sure you have skip TA open errors checked before doing anything using s1tool.

My Xperia Z2 has fallen from the suitcase on the soft carpet. Rear cover did not survived. Quality of phones released after 2010-2011 year is tragic

Hello 
My xperia zr device got hard bricked after flashing by twrp recovery official edition
I made a restart then the device got dead. 
1-I tried to press power button the device viberated but nothing else.
2-I tried to connect the device using xperia companion but still nothing.
3-My device only detected as S1 Service when I attached usb to pc !!!.
4-I tried to flash it using S1 tool using the emergency mode by the test point after disassemble the motherboard.
but the pc got hanged then I got this error (
llbug: [\\?\USB#Vid_0E0F&Pid_0001#6&1636b011&0&2#{a5dcbf10-6530-11d2-901f-00c04fb951ed}] open error: "Access is denied")
5-I'm still not sure about the test point of the mother board.

7-I'm not sure about the testpoints of the motherboard ,hope anybody help

If your device is detected by pc when you attach usb cable, try to flash it in flashmode first. If that will not help, use current s1tool version, check skip ta open and flash it in edl mode. Show flashing log.

I've disassemble my phone then I connected only the motherboard to pc, it was only detected as S1 Service in device manager.

so Do I have to assemble it again.

Try different firmware version, however i suppose it's hardware problem.
