If you want to get administrative privilages (Super User) on your Sony Xperia S LT26 smartphone running Android operating system, but you have no idea how to root your phone, we've decided to collect the most useful tutorials showing how to root any MSM8260 based Xperia smartphone with Android operating system. The most important thing to know before you will start rooting your smartphone is to find out what version of Android operating system and what build number is inside your phone. You can check that information in your smartphone via menu => settings => About phone => Android version and Build number. There are 2 easy ways to root your Sony Xperia S LT26:


1. E-Root - chinsese program allowing you to root any 2012 Xperia smartphone with MSM8260 chipset running Android version 2.3.4 Gingerbread or 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (also firmware build 6_1_A_2_55). Just follow instructions from tutorial and you will get quickly Super User access.

2. Romaster - program from the famous russian developer the_laser, based on well known chinese programs Vroot / Kingoroot, but cleaned from all unwanted code (so it's fully safe and does not send your imei to chinese servers). This method works on all Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 and Jelly Bean 4.1.2 versions with kernel 3.0 - 3.4, so it also works on the latest firmware 6_2_B_1_96 from Sony.
