It's hardware problem. Buy working Z Ultra with broken lcd and swap main board or sell your phone for replacement parts and buy a new one.

Hi Emperror,

I have done the first part of this tutorial(step 1- 8 with my Xperia ZL (c6502) and it work OK!!!

Now I dont know from were to download the needed files for step 9:

"Now you have to flash (if not done yet) your phone with all firmware parts (APPSW, FSP, ELABEL) using S1 FLASH MODE, phone will be fixed."

Using Sony Update Service get "sony update engine failure (error 2003)"

attached log from S1 EMERGENCY MODE

hmm sorry for retrieve this old post, but the device manager doese not find my Xperia ZL C6503 at all...

The phone does not power on anymore. Well, when the phone is pluged to power, the red LED is on (even after 25+ hours). I am not able to acess the boot loader, tried all combinations I found. Therefore i tried your manual to retrieve the phone. I disambled the MB and used a paperclip to connect the testpoints, but really nothing happens?! There is no reaction in the device manager, no device can be found via s1tool. I alredy tried different PCs as well as different power plug, usb ports, usb cabels etc... Normally there should be any reaction, shouldn't it?

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Yes, there should be reaction. Try different paperclip or testpoint wire, make sure that you are connecting testpoint to gnd + attaching usb properly.

What different style? You must flash all 3 firmware parts in order: 1. appsw, 2. fsp, 3. elabel. Or use Sony PC Companion.

I tried to unlock boot but it said --"Maybe you should use setool 2"

That option in S1Tool is only for MSM7227, QSD8250 and MSM8255 phones (Xperia smartphones announced in 2010 and 2011 year ;) ) . Do not touch it ;)

You can use any tool you want. But if your phone can't enter flash mode, only S1tool supports s1 emergency mode for Xperia ZL :)
