Thanks for the steps. I get no vibrate response from phone with hard reset, Vol Up + Power, also no response with button on the back. Phone gives no LED lights or LCD activity or vibrate response.

 

It seems no detection in device manager. I tried to repair with PC Companion, it asks to connect phone into flashmode with Vol Down then USB plug, I do that but PCC/Windows never detects phone.

 

I think it must need stronger tool to save this phone but I'm worried because I don't know how it got bricked. With this method do you have to reload a backup TA? If TA is good will it get overwrite by s1tool or it leaves TA alone?

Did you tried to leave your phone on charger for an hour - two? If that will not help, disassembly your phone, connect testpoint to gnd, attach usb cable and flash Xperia ZL firmware in S1 EMERGENCY MODE in order:

 

1. APPSW,

 

2. FSP,

 

3. ELABEL.

 

Phone will be flashed, boot will be updated (if required). And post results

It's hardware problem, you can't fix your phone with any software. Buy working Xperia ZL with broken screen and swap main board.

I recently got a not working Xperia ZL from a friend. He said the phone was not turning on, just a flash in the boot, and I tried to solve the problem. The phone was starting only with charger, showing the Sony logo, and then restarting indefinitely. When connected to PC, enters in flash mode for some seconds and the starts the reboots. PC Companion does not detect is, and the system was detecting it as S1 Service. Flashtool was not able to do anything either.
 
Unfortunately, all that I was able to find in solving the issue (I did a thorough research in xda and other sites) did not work. Until I find this place.

Following the instructions and videos in the website, I was able to open the phone, get access to the board, and using the pictures provided from @vinaytoday I found the test points, cell detected as QHUSB_DLOAD, downloaded the image from here and used S1 to do the emergency repair. All worked fine, PC Companion did locate the device and I was able to flash an image it with Flashtool.

The case is: even all being fine, the phone just maintain the same problem! After that I thought it could be battery, but I made an external recharge and all is the same. Do you guys have some clue for me to follow? The cell are not in warranty anymore so I am able to do anything with it.

If you flashed your phone properly (output log from s1tool flashing is always welcome) and phone still reboots by itself, it must be hardware problem. Maybe rehot / reball of flash ic / ram will help...

hey i used the same step you described. my fone is recognised as qhsusb_dload but when i connect after clicking testpoint ready button it shows error:

Try different usb port, try differrent usb cable, do not use usb 3.0 port. If that will not help, before attaching usb cable insert battery.

I have problem with my hard bricked ZL C6503. 
I Unlocked bootloader with official Sony method. After that my partition table of data partition was damaged and i got bootloop. so i made a new partition for /data. Now it could be formatted in TWRP and i flashed my backup of my rom. Everything was fine until i pressed reboot system. Now Phone is completley dead. 

Phone was detected as qhusb_dload device without testpoint and after driver install as ZEUS FLASH DEVICE. 
I tested to flash with s1tool and after first step it is detected as SEMC FLASH DEVICE. But then i get the error 
can't get S1 command header. See screenshot. I don't really know where the Testpoint of C6503 is . Testpoint from picture doesn't change anything.. 
Tested on multiple computers with windows 7 and 8 64 bit and USB 2.0 port

Loader is not responding. When S1tool will ask you to remove testpoint - remove it, attach battery and press ready button. If that will not help, buy working xperia ZL with broken LCD and swap main board.

sir after update my xperia zl c6502 cant power on if press power button red color led blinks three times. I followed ur instructions dissambled my phone, find and attach test points. Aftre i update ur package in emergency mode it will shown in picture. it completed after it cant flasing in flash tool it strucks in 0% what can i do..........

Boot in your phone is updated so you must flash now all firmware parts.

 

1. Use PC Companion to flash your phone with latest firmware or,

 

2. Use Flashtool and flash your phone with all firmware parts: http://sony.yt/topic...oid-smartphone/ ,

 

3. Or you can use S1Tool to flash all firmware parts in order: APPSW, FSP, ELABEL,

 

4. Or you can purchase flash service in our online service and your phone will be flashed using any Xperia ZL C6502 firmware you want using professional service tool or if you do not have charged battery - using S1Tool in emergency mode. but there is a question i´ve to ask:

No, do not cut anything! To perform Xperia ZL testpoint procedure just connect those 2 points together: http://sony.yt/topic...06/#entry43596 using metal paperclip or testpoint wire and attach usb cable to your PC and phone
