On IFA press conference in Berlin Sony has announced a two new models from low-end E series - Sony Xperia E3 D2202 / D2203 / D2206 / D2243 and it's dual sim twin model - Sony Xperia E3 dual D2212. Sony Xperia E3 and Sony Xperia E3 dual smartphones are a huge improvement in E-series. They have a 4,5" 854x480 pixels display, 5MPx camera with AF, Full HD 1080p video support, a middle-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 or MSM8926 quad-core 1,2 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, up to 4GB of flash memory and a 2330 mAh battery with STAMINA mode and they are running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. What's the most interesting thing about Sony Xperia E3 and E3 dual smartphones - they are the first units from a budget E-series with LTE support.

Sony has made battery tests during September period and confirms, that also Xperia E3 and Xperia E3 dual has a two-day battery life. Sony Xperia E3 / E3 dual has a smaller battery capacity - only 2330 mAh, but it has also a smaller 4,5" screen with smaller resolution and a slower CPU.

 

 

The tests reflected a typical smartphone owner ?using the device for approximately 5 hours in a 24-hour period, for a range of typical usage scenarios (calling, texting, web, SMS, games, camera, music and video).? This was under default settings including display brightness of 100Nits and Battery stamina mode off.
