We have a bad news for all Sony Ericsson and Sony phones owners - Sony has ended support for it's most known software for firmware update - Sony Ericsson Update Service, recently known as Sony Update Service. The official Sony webpage says:
As from 21st July 2014, the Update Service application is no longer supported. To update the software in your device, use PC Companion instead.

Since now you can use only PC Companion as an official software to firmware update / repair in your Sony Ericsson / Sony phone, however Sony Update Service still works and can be downloaded from internet mirrors. We don't know for how long this software will be usable. What do you think about this Sony's decission? Let's discuss!
