I suppose i don't have that customization of the latest w995 firmware, but i have old W995 firmware R1EA028_RED53 western europe if you are interested.

My private collection of firmware files surprises me all the time, i've found R1HA035 western europe firmware for W995. It will work with R1HA036 main, so enjoy =)  First post updated.

Because you've used wrong customization file. Try this one from C905, should work:  C905_1209-4774_R6A_GENERIC_WESTERN-EUROPE.zip   18.56K   78 downloads

First of all, thank you for helping me repair my W705 and for providing a properly working A2Uploader. It's my first flashing and it works!!!

Second, what's with this RED, BLUE, BROWN? If I want to have access to the system files (whether for reading via A2Uploader or USB Mass Storage or the phone itself (e.g. MiniCommander)), which one should I use? Is it okay to mix Main RED53 with a BLUE or BROWN FS?

Third, can I append anything into the custom pack if I want? Such as Allow Without Asking option for Java, custom menu layouts, custom icons, etc..

Fourth, I saw in the Service Menu Texts, there are some Windows Live Messenger things. Does this mean my W705 and W995 can access Windows Live Messenger? There's this thing called Escargot MSN which is a reverse engineered Windows Live Messenger server that anyone can host. All the clientside has to do is hex-edit the URL strings that would usually point to Microsoft's servers. I wonder if there's a chance Escargot could work with Sony Ericssons.

Fifth, during connection, I saw two extra options. Some bluetooth option and some USB Tethering option. Does this mean I could use others' Bluetooth or computer's USB internet? I kinda wanna see how far I can get internet from other things than my phone.

Thats certificat type in your phone (domain). Retail phones are RED with enabled security. BROWN is developer certificate with disabled security, that's why you can apply patches and other modifications. You can't change certificate to BROWN for free on CID 53 (but you can do that using our online service) and you can't change certificate for CID 80/81 at all though. BLUE is factory certificate.

Yes, you can apply custom menu layouts, icons etc. in your phone. Tutorials are on the forum.

Nope, those are only text labels, you can't use it.

Yes, you can use your phone as a portable modem for your computer or you can use internet from your computer on your phone as well.

Hello, I want to debrand my W995 and update to latest English firmware to install flash themes and mods etc. How can i go about doing this? my device is w995 CID53 TMOBILE BRANDED SOFTWARE (R1EA032 prg1215-8023 TMOBILE HI  R1EA032) & CUSTOMIZATION (1224-8239 R12A, 1215-7993 R1EA032, T-MOB-INT) . Any help would be appreciated
