Flashtool always kills Xperia C4, C5 and M5, no matter what. That's why you never should use it. I can fix your phone if:

Hallo everyone.
C5 Ultra hard bricked. It doesn't boot, not recognized by pc. No flash mode, no fastboot mode. Tried every key combination (vol up+ power etc) but nothing. I tried installing a new battery even though I measured the old one and it was ok but no luck either. Only red led lights (no blinking) when connected to wall charger or pc. Nothing else. Didn't unlock Bootloader, didn't flash by flash tool.
It was on marshmallow official firmware when just suddenly died.
Any chance it could be fixed?

Hello,

Please install current gordon's gate flash driver v. 3.2.0.1 and check if your phone is detected by pc.

I have v3.0.0.7 installed and pc doesn't recognize it at all. Can't find a link to v3.2.0.1(a link would be great).
Funny thing is that phone died about 2 months ago and last week it opened normally just by pressing and holding power button but it was for just a couple of days. It got hard bricked again after I disconnected and reconnected battery's flex cable.
By the way phone has never been dropped, never got wet.
For some reason it is like motherboard is not seeing battery at all. Unit does not charge battery either. (tested with spare battery also). ????

Maybe battery connector on main board is damaged or flex connector or flex by itself. It's worth to visit good service centre, they will inspect main board and flex cable. For sure it's hardware problem, not software.

Hallo again.
I finally found a solution to unbrick my C5 Ultra.
In my case (only red light when plugged , not blinking, not recognized by pc, completely bricked), it was a hardware problem. Not software.

I saw many cases that people had to reball its chip, the one above the big flex cable.

I am not familiar with reballing but I have reflowed quite a few Playstation 3 in the past so I decided to give it a try reflowing the motherboard of the c5.

Using a heat gun I reflowed both sides of its motherboard in the place where the
specific chip is, reflowing first the opposite site. I used non rosin flux and I reflowed at 350c for 40 seconds each side.
You can find few videos about reflowing on YouTube.

After reassembling the c5 the device was working perfect after about 2 years ????????.
Reflowing was not a permanent fix for ps3 but I am using c5 for about 3 weeks now and is working like a charm.

This is an old thread but I hope it will help someone who has the same problem.

Best regards to all.

Good to know that you've fixed your phone. That will not fix damaged by flashtool boot for sure though ;)
