Sony Mobile has just confirmed that it's 18-24 month's old smartphones will have:
not receive any further software upgrade support
That means there will be no more firmware updates for those phones, because they've reached end of life time. So if you have one of the following phone models: Xperia arc S, Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion, Xperia acro S, Xperia go, Xperia P, Xperia J, Xperia miro, Xperia sola, Xperia tipo, Xperia tipo dual or Xperia U smartphone, you will not get any new firmware updates from Sony.
Also Sony has updated firmware information on support website. You can choose your phone from the list, and check firmware status: If you can see information:
Latest & final version
That means there will be no more firmware updates for your smartphone. If you have one of the listed above smartphones, feel free to post your feelings about that Sony decission in this thread.
